What is the legal status of the Festival?

 

Initially set up as an informal group of enthusiasts using a standard articles of association as an "Unincorporated Association'.  As the festival has grown and the finances involved in running such a series of events has increased the team organising the 2020 festival decided to form an incorporate legal entity to limit the financial liabilities and after much research, legal advice and discussion agreed to form a Charitable Incorporated Organisation according to UK Charity Commission Guidelines.
